Like Estela, when author Radha Singh was a young girl, she had a dislike for eating homemade sandwiches. Radha remembers hiding her sandwiches underneath the couch which led to some very embarrassing yet funny moments. As inspiration for bringing the winter tale of Estela to life, Radha uses her newly found love for her mom’s homemade sandwiches, her affection for stuffed furry friends, and her travels to New York City. Radha shows readers of all ages that a homemade meal is made with love and care, thus one should enjoy a homemade meal no matter how it looks or tastes.
