About the Book

This book has been written in sequence. First, I give an expressive view of life coming from a place of unhappiness. And I desired changes in all areas of my life. So the first five poems are coming from sadness. The poem that I used to give this message is called “From Dark to Light,” written in a menu format. From there on in each poem is how I view myself and others as worthwhile beings full of dreams and hopes. Aiding people is my inspired view; inspiring people is my lifelong goal, which I have accomplished. My wish is to see people develop and their potential shine through. This would be my biggest achievement. Please enjoy as you read as you become empowered.

About the Author

I am the third child from a family of four daughters with two daughters and seven grandchildren. I was educated at furzedown secondary school. It was in the early eighties when I had finished. My hobbies are cooking West Indian food, reading fiction novels, and card-making. Writing has become my latest hobby. Having no help or support around family and friends for the majority of my life, one day it dawned on me that I was the help and I had done a good job. Both of my daughters have integrity and are happy beings. When I started writing, I realized I wanted to reach an audience of all ages as we all struggle sometimes to get by, so I had an aspiration to write inspirational poetry to aid others. This is my wish and passion. I do hope you enjoy them.
