So, where do I begin? I won't tell you how long ago I was born for two reasons. First, I really don't remember exactly when I was born and the second reason is because a Lady never tells her age. Besides, a polite person such as you would never ask such a personal question. I think I'd better tell you a little bit about Mr. Henry. He's the person I live with. Mr. Henry is the principal of a local elementary school, and he takes me to school with him quite a lot. I like that, because the students there are very nice, and they pay me a lot of attention. I love all the attention I can get.

About the Book
Mr. Henry and Me is the story of a dachshund told from the dog's point of view. She tells, among other things, about how she picked Mr. Henry, the lives of some of the other animals in the neighborhood, her encounter with an unwelcome critter who wandered into her backyard, and how she helped some students at school.
About the Author
This is the second book written by John. He was given a dog on his fourth birthday and has been around dogs ever since. But his favorite is a dachshund named Lady. John received his BS degree in music education from Kent State and retired from teaching after thirty-five years in the classroom. He is still active in church and a community chorus.
