About the Author

Laura Donelan, MSW, RSW, is a school social worker with the London District Catholic School Board in Ontario, Canada. She is the first school social worker in Ontario to receive an accredited service dog to partner with her in her work with students. In addition, Laura is a certified yoga instructor, trained in adventure therapy and trauma intervention. Laura believes wholeheartedly in the healing power of nature and animals. She is the cofounder of Dancing Creek: Adventures in Balance, an outdoor education centre, and has worked with children, youth, and their families for more than twenty years. Laura lives with her husband, son, daughter, and Holly in Aylmer, Ontario.
