About the Author
I was born and raised in southern Wisconsin but now live on eighty acres of woods in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan—my grandparents homesteaded in the early 1900s. Growing up, my parents, sister, and I "vacationed" on this land in a cabin my parents built.
I was raised with the best of both worlds: city life and country living. I learned to enjoy what nature had to offer, and also the love of reading. At the cabin there wasn't the amenities of home, such as TV. I learned to love to read.
I love waking up every morning to see the deer in my yard. I also enjoy getting on our four-wheeler and riding through the woods, just enjoying nature.
I am married to the love of my life, and we have three kids and nine grandchildren. I love reading to my grand kids and getting them interested in books.
Reading to my kids and grandchildren gave me ideas about writing a book. It is something I have always wanted to give to them, from me: the love of reading.
