About the Book

Have you been a victim of abuse? Or, are you unsure how to label your chaotic or rigid family of origin or the dysfunction in your present family system. Many people who have been abused do not know how to identify it or the ill results that they have acquired from it: inabilities to keep satisfying relationships, chronic anxiety and worry, emotional pain, over or under expression of emotions, depression, anger, confusion, addictions, lack of self esteem or the inability to organize one’s life. This list could be extended because abuse or neglect impacts every area of our soul (mind, will, emotions and conscience), spirit and body. If these, or similar issues resonate with you, this book (and DVD series) may help you discover answers, which can lead you into a recovered life. Journey into Wholeness Workbook is designed for use in conjunction with Traveling with the Life-Giver: A Spiritual Journey through Recovery from Abuse and the DVD series Journey into Wholeness. Author, Carol Romeo, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as holding a master’s degree in Practical Ministry. The strength of this series is her combination of spiritual and psychological tools, which better facilitates healing and recovery. Carol Romeo shares what she has learned from her own healing from abuse and her years of treating others who similarly suffer. I, Carol, congratulate you for taking this step to expand your emotional, mental, spiritual and relational health. As you study along with me, I invite you to open your heart and mind to be challenged. Change of mind, heart or behavior does not come easy to any of us. Please be patient with yourself and with one another. And yet, remember, “This is your journey and only you can do the work!” Blessings to each one of you on this courageous journey!
