About the Author

My interest in this project became apparent as I neared graduation. Yes, it was my associate degree, however, I had been through enough experiences to undertake this project. My title for the book is “Fides Qua Creditur” translated means Act of Faith. This book is an act of my faith which comes from not just sitting in a pew but interacting with people like myself. The last part of the title is "Can I Live Better" It is not a question but a statement. This was a project I had to attempt to give my degree some substance and to introduce myself to the establishment. My full title Is Fides Qua Creditur: Can I Live Better. I want to be a stabilizing force in the psychosocial rehabilitation community because I believe that mental illnesses can be cured and not just treated. Would you believe me if I told you I have schizophrenia? I reside in a small town in Northeast New Jersey. I have been here for around twenty-four years. This town has romanced me with its striking architectural layout, and its appeal to a rainbow of cultures. My recovery began here and it flourishes here. Ironically, I do plan on moving some day to a quieter town. Yes, that’s right. I did not believe and now I do. I plan to devote my life to finding a cure for schizophrenia or at least a structural treatment EBP that reduces the disease to a state of remission. Here and now, my only limits are the guidelines of PSyR which are necessary for ethical considerations. So this book is the beginning of my journey with all of you. I am certain it will be an eye-opening affair.
