The Introverted Memoir

I loved her, but not like most people love. Love is taken for granted, and I didn’t want to take her for granted. I loved her because I appreciated her and everything that she gave me. I loved her because she was beautiful even when she was hating the world and wanting to escape the labyrinth of man’s malicious behaviours. I loved her because she was a human being that was so afraid of being a human being that she exemplified her humanity. She was a paradox, and I loved her with all of her perfect faults.
It’s always nice to remember the moment that changed your life. For some people, it’s the moment that they decided to become religious and began devoting their life to the practices. For others, it may be the moment that they met their future husband or wife. And for other people, it is simply the first time they ever understood what it truly meant to have camaraderie with another person. My friendship with Emma gave me many things that I cannot imagine living without; it gave me on an emotional journey to understanding my mind and my self; it helped me to understand human nature; it gave me hope; but most of all, it gave me something worth waking up to.
