About the Book
I began to write this book, Ma Ma Kidd Cookbook, from the heart. While writing this book, I learned that Ma Ma, as young wife and mother, really didn’t know much about cooking, but “Practice makes perfect” and she got a helpful hand from GrandMa. This is where I began learning about cooking: watching Ma Ma, GrandMa, and my aunt.
Ma always wanted her kids to be self-sufficient. I really didn’t start cooking until my mother had to go the hospital for a major surgery, after preparing different dishes for church events, birthday parties, and special requests.
So here’s to you, Ma. Those was the good days. Nowadays we aware of heart disease, high cholesterol, sodium, calorie counts, and high blood pressure. But we can still have fun and enjoy a healthy meal without so much of this or that.
Enjoy and see how healthy these recipes are.
