About the Author

Armando Torre was born in Naples in 1930. After military service, he migrated to the United States in 1958. As a young man, he entered art exhibitions in Naples, and he met famous Titina De Filippo with his brother Eduardo, where the passion for poetry was born at that time. His teachers were De Chirico, Cyrus Tackle, Joseph Garigliani, Nicola Ascione, William Best, and many others until 1958. He worked as a department head in the main factory of artistic ceramics of Capodimonte in New York. Armando is a painter, sculptor, and poet. As today he directs his art gallery and performs restoration of antiquities and paintings. His poems are memories life of Naples and of his childhood.
