About the Book

As Anne reminisces about the long life she has led with the man she loved. She is suddenly jolted back further into the past, a past that had held unexplored excitement and love for her, a past that was lost to her forever. But was it? With her son at her side, Anne ventures back sixty years ago on an adventure, and a mystery that could spell joy or heartbreak. In a foreign land with no friends or command of the language, Anne and her son John search for the mystery of the past that could set both of their minds and hearts at ease and open up doors they never even knew existed.

About the Author

“I have the most supportive family in the world,” says Nancy Nix, a first time author, however, not a first time writer. “I have written dozens of books and short stories, but I have just never had the nerve to publish them. Now I am at an age that being a best selling author is not so important. I would like to publish so people can read and enjoy and hopefully realize that God really does work in peoples’ lives, even if it is not always the way we think he should.” Nancy grew up a Navy brat and has lived all over the United States. Her early roots are in the Midwest, but she has lived on the west coast for the last forty years, mainly in North Bend, Oregon. She has two grown children, four bonus children and grandchildren in Virginia, Texas, and Oregon. She and her husband, Cecil, reside on a once bustling dairy farm have not been in the dairy business for the last fifteen years. Nancy works part time at a medical center where she used to work full time and enjoys the shortened hours. “It gives me more time to write and teach theatre for our local homeschoolers at our church. I am having so much fun in my old age, something I learned from my mother!” That is one the reasons she has decided to publish this book, in honor of her mom whose greatest wish was she would publish something she wrote.
