About the Author

Maria Ana Lum earned a master’s degree in Natural Resources from the University of Wyoming and works as a wildlife biologist. Born and raised in rural Virginia, Maria’s passion for animals is exceeded only by her boundless love of her fraternal twin children. Using humorous, noble, and positive animal characters, Ms. Lum wrote I Love You like a Kangaroo to personify the unconditional love for a child by a parent by using endearing animal characters.
