Jesus said, " A new commandment I give you. Love one another as I have loved you, love one another". We love him because he first loved us and he that has been forgiven much loves much. The conclusion of the matter is love. But there is no love without forgiveness or redemption. God knew that by making his new creation, mankind, for the purpose of a love relationship, he would have to have free will. God also knew that mankind would choose to eat of the forbidden fruit. God didn't remove the tree of knowledge of good and evil from the garden , he put it right in the middle next to the tree of life so man could have a real choice. Father knowing the whole time he would suffer for the man to have him choose to return. God loves man.

About the Book
This commentary is not based on other commentaries. It is an attempt to dare to see Jesus as he said he is. Care has been taken to remain monotheistic. Liberty has been taken to view women as equal to men, something that hasn’t been successfully done in any culture since Jesus walked the earth. We have dared to look with fresh eyes at the Bible, especially the gospel of John, and assume nothing that is based solely on Christian tradition. This is a view—there are many views. This one demands thinking and challenges the way we have been influenced to think about the Bible. You may not agree with everything you read here, but if you read the entire commentary, you will never read the Bible the same again. Interestingly, the very first word Jesus said in his public ministry was the Greek word that means change your thinking.
About the Author
I went to Catholic seminary for theology classes. I became a Christ follower in 1973 and began studying and researching the Bible. I then became a pastor in a strict Christian community for fourteen years. I studied Judaism and traveled to Israel five times. I lived in Ireland and Scotland. Currently, I serve as a pastor and counselor for the past sixteen years. I live in Gainesville, Florida with my wife of thirty-five years. We have six children and fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Together, we enjoy ministry and own a successful business. Gainesville is college town, and we minister to many grad students about marriage and understanding the Bible.
