Separate Yourselves from Wolves
“Beware of false prophets which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves” [Matthew 7:15].

In this chapter, I shall dwell mainly in the book of Jude as the Holy Spirit has led me. Oh My Gracious God, ravening wolves? I shall go deeper on the so called “ravening wolves” .

Beloved brethren, let me remind you first of 1John 4:1, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world”. People of God it is allowed to test the spirits, fear not. Why do we need to check the spirit? Our spiritual lives depend on what they teach us because Ephesians 2:20 says, “ And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone”.

Brethren, if the foundation is not good what happens to the house? The house will not stand. The question is, how do we detect these ravening wolves? “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” [Matthew 7:16] says. Beloved brethren, the Principles of God are the Principles of God, it is INCORRUPTIBLE. A snake gives birth to a snake therefore; the TRUTH also gives birth to the TRUTH. How? The WORD of God gave birth to the WORD of God [Jesus Christ] . Isn’t it?

I shall explore a little bit deeper on the characteristics of a wolf. Jude 1:5 says, “I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not”. This is food for thought matter. Let us REPENT; it is a wiser thing to do.

Ravening wolves are “…….. filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves” [Jude1:8-10]. It is very easy to detect them because they always talk about seeing Jesus Christ, or going to heaven yet they are false. Why? They defile flesh.

They are whoremongers and live an unpleasant life committing all sorts of defilement such as sexual sin. They hate with much passion to be challenged or scriptures that disturbs their lustful imaginations. They do not have a clue of what they talk about and by so doing they corrupt themselves. Trying to define “Brute beasts” basically it means a naturally corrupt or evil person, someone who is out of control, insensitive or uncivilized person meaning that the FEAR of the LORD is not present in them. Jude 1:11 says, “Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

Ravening wolves are leaders who possess a murderous heart; hence their religion is false because they run after dishonest gain. The spiritual lives of these types of leaders perish whilst they are still alive. These types of leaders seem devoted to Christ by sacrifices which are not spirit but all flesh. They wage war against the True Church of God just like Cain disliked his brother just because of true sacrifice. They always take advantage of financial gain from the True Church of God.

They make people of God buy a blessing from God by any means available and they pretend to be very spiritual because of the choice of their words. What am I saying brethren? I am simply saying ravening wolves are spiritually perished beings. Jude 1:12-13 says, “These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead , plucked up by the roots; Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever”.

Ravening wolves by nature seem to have the spirit of the Great Living God but in reality they are clouds without water and yet no Holy Spirit hence the TRUTH is absent. These types of wolves appear to have good fruits but let me say this to you: they refuse to REPENT meaning they are twice dead filled with shame therefore their shame foams out of them. Jude 1:14-15 tells us that the end of the wolf is God’s judgement, “And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

The question is who can hide or escape God’s judgement or fierce wrath? The answer is nobody. One of the most sophisticated characteristics of wolves is to murmur. These wolves have their special way of whispering lies, corruption and deceit until they instil fear and confusion in people because of this wise strategy wolves are able to separate a single vulnerable sheep to devour or kill. Jude 1:16, “These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

They run in financial lust and sexual lust constantly praising or speaking highly of certain individuals for the sake of taking advantage of their money or material goods leaving them bankrupt. Apostle Jude gave us a clear WARNING that, we should use the WORD of God in order to detect wolves. Jude 1:17-18 says, “But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts”. The TRUTH of God is the TRUTH of God. It is very bitter.
