About the Book
Mike stared at the medallion, it wasn't moving yet his bro was sure it had, and he believed him. He wasn't sure why, but he believed him. Sky had a big imagination; he was always making things up. He liked to talk about dragons, wizards, and far of lands that he wanted to create, but the look on his face was different. He wasn't making this up. He had seen it move, and it had surprised him. Mike didn't feel any better about the box, the feeling that there was a presence inside was still there... and... it was calling to him.
About the Author
Since my early twenties, I have worked with young people as teacher, counselor, coach, and youth director. During this time, I have enjoyed nurturing the imagination and what can be done if we allow ourselves to dream. To me, the world of fantasy has always been a door to the mind and video games a place to explore what we couldn’t possibly do in reality. I'm a mother of three and nanny to two lovely children. When we play, I see and hear how a quiet young man can coordinate and strategize a mission involving five to nine other players. How we can turn a valley into a kingdom or explore a new frontier with dragons and faeries. I have always encouraged my students and kids to believe in themselves and never think that they can’t simply because that is what they have been told. We are all capable of dreaming; the difference is that some of us take that dream and do what we can to make it real no matter if we have been told it can't happen.
