These people are looking at me, shouting, staring, and wondering why I’m here, but how could I come up with the nerve to question anything, with my ass sitting here on a gurney, in a strap jacket. It was a tough white material with arms that had two straps with buckles on both ends that wrapped around my body. There is a man directly across from me, who looks like he just hung himself, and survived, and now is examining me with his eyes as if I’m crazy. Realizing, that I’m the only fool wearing this jacket which is pulling my arms in two different directions, makes me wonder, maybe I am insane.

About the Book
How long can you sit in the closet and rock yourself away? Eventually, I would have to come out and face the truth about what was happening to me. No one had a clue that I was just contemplating suicide, but that’s what makeup is for. I was a great actress and hid the dark circles underneath my tired eyes. I had to find ways to outrun him, but he kept coming.
About the Author
I grew up in a small in town in California and was just an ordinary girl. I’m the middle sister of an older brother and younger sister. I was a cheerleader for years, ran track, and was even voted homecoming queen. Although, I was outgoing and tried to fit in with everyone, I started to experience the darkness. Not sure what it was at the time, but it was always around. It doesn’t discriminate, it just finds you. My journey was to find out why.
