Redrum smirked his lips to the side and shook his head after Pelo gave him a twenty one gun salute and passed him a bag of hydro to roll up as he pulled into traffic. He turned the stereo system up as that hot shit by Fifty Cent came on. [Many men wish death upon me/ blood in my eye dawg and I can't see/I'm trying to be what I'm destined to be/and nigga's trying to take my life away from me/ I put a hole in a nigga for fucking with me/ my back to the wall now you gonna see/ better watch how you talk when you talk about me cause I'll come and take your life away/ many men/ many men/ many men wish death upon me/ lord I don't cry no more/ don't look to the sky no more/ have mercy on my soul/ somewhere my heart turn cold/ have mercy on many men/ many/ many/ many men wish death upon me.
The combination of good smoke and Fifty's versus had Redrum coasting up seventh ave lost in his own thoughts feeling just like Fifty must have felt when he came up with those lyrics. Every cop in New York city wanted a piece of him. As he took the last of the blunt from Pelo's hand and turned on to Macomb's avenue a gang unit car drove pass them.
Pelo whipped his head around following the car and said "ah shit, thats the gang unit and they making a u-turn homie."
"Son! Why you turn your head? I told you never look at them. That’s why they fuck with you. Fuck it, they coming now. You strapped homie?'
"You know it dawg."
Redrum turned his head slightly towards Pelo, ice grilled him nodded his head slowly twice and said "you know we gonna have to go all out if they pull us over. You ready to ride on these fool ass cops homie?”
"You know I'm gonna ride-or-die dawg, don’t even ask. I shine you shine homie. We gonna go down in the history books for this shit."
Redrum was feeling the lil homie Pelo right about now, finally somebody with heart. He started amping him up. "Yeah homie, its time to ride or die. Fuck po-po blood rule, ya heard. Remember homie won't stop can't stop. What 's the difference between them and us?"
Pelo looked at him and said "we bust and they don't."
"We fight against?"
"Oppression!"
“We fight oppression with?"
"Resistance!"
"When we resist we at?"
"War!"
"Now blood how about some hardcore."
"Bloods we like it raw!"
Pelo was amped now. "Listen homie, this is what we gonna do. When I pull over, I'm gonna jump out the car and walk across the street you just sit in the car. They will focus all their attention on me, when they start that screaming shit, get ready cause it on and poppin homie. Cock your joint then I want you to come up out of the sunroof and start dumping on them and at the same time I'll spin around on them and start dumping. You understand lil homie?"
Pelo nodded his head and said " yeah dawg, let's do this. B to the L homie."

"All units this is detective Jones from gang intelligence; we have spotted the suspect Harris in a black Honda Accord station wagon on 151st street and Macombs avenue. The suspect Harris is driving and there is another perp in the vehicle with him also believed to be a gang member” he said over the police rova in his vehicle.
Dispatch came back over the rova telling Jones "proceed with caution and do not repeat do not pull suspect over just follow closely behind. This is all per Lt. Swan's orders. Give your 1020 every block…
"That's gonna be a negative on those orders dispatch, suspect Harris just pulled over and jumped out of the car. We're in pursuit on foot in the middle of the blocks of 15lst and 152nd street and Macombs." As he and his partner jumped out in pursuit they heard the dispatch calling for assistance from other units. "Hay you, freeze!! Hands in the air, now!” You in the red T-shirt, do it now!!" Both detectives yelled in unison.
Redrum was itching to bus caps at po-po, he was anxiously awaiting for Pelo to begin dumping. Fuck it he thought, if you want something done you got to do it yourself, he said as he spun around with the 40 caliber automatic in his hand and began firing at the first cop he saw. That happened to be detective Mitchell who took three rounds in the throat, mouth and nose. The one round detective Mitchell's did get to fire went in his own hip just before he died bleeding in the street. Jones returned fire instantly forcing Redrum to dive for cover. Jones was about to pursue the perp when bullets started coming from behind him from the other suspect in the vehicle. He dove over the back of his unit and prepared to fire at his new adversary. He was pure adrenaline and his years on the force took over and guided his movements. He placed the gun on the truck took aim and placed one shot right between the eye's of the young gang banger, killing him instantly but regretfully. There was no return fire from Harris, so Jones assumed he had took him out as well. His next move was to see if his partner was okay and radio in for an ambulance. That was the one mistake that cost him his life. As he ran crouched over towards his partner and checked for his pulse a shadow fell upon him and he knew at that moment death was there.
Redrum hovered over the detective and emptied the remaining bullets in his clip all into Jones head. Then he ran over to the Honda looked at Pelo's dead body said "flat line homie" and pushed his body into the street and drove off from the murder scene.
The radio in the rova of Jones vehicle and the radios on the two detective’s waist were going off continuously as dispatch tried to reach them. Lt. Swan drove like a madman to the scene while screaming over his rova trying to find out what happened to the officers in pursuit of Harris. Swan and the SCVU team arrived on the scene which was three minutes later all they saw was the two dead detectives lying dead in the street next to their vehicle and the other dead suspect gang banger who was not Harris. The Honda Accord station wagon was gone. "Damn it, we have to find this kid, his body count just went up to fourteen people. Someone get dispatch, send a helicopter out and find that car."
One uniformed officer ran up to Swan and said "dispatch just called in the black Honda has been found parked on 154th street between 8th avenue and Macombs avenue."
"Sgt. Santiago, have some of your people process the car. The lab tech's can handle this. We need to get to Peter Green, he’s the only person that can lead us to Harris now."
Swan and Santiago pulled up in front of Puncho's building three minutes later and aggravated more than ever that Harris had slipped through their fingers once again. The rest of their unit members parked a block away. When they entered his apartment they told him all that transpired with his partner Harris and how he killed the young lady on 114th ST. "We need you to get in touch with him now Peter! Call his phone!" Swan said with rage in his voice.
