About the Book
Psalms of an 83-year-old Woman” is the result of a long and busy life filled with the blessings of God. The inspiration came during a winter when heavy snows restricted our activities. The project was completed in 25 days. The 150 psalms contain, in addition to praise and thanksgiving to God, remembrances of past events—personal, professional, and universal—which may resonate with older adults, particularly women. They reflect the author’s journey toward the knowledge of the presence of God in each moment and the desire to praise and thank God for His bountiful goodness.
About the Author
Mary Carol Herwood, Ph.D. is a widow with three children and five grandchildren. A former teacher/administrator with Buffalo Public Schools, she is the author of “All the Old Familiar Places—Memories of South Buffalo.” Her latest publication, “Psalms of an 83-Year-Old Woman” contains prayers of praise and thanksgiving from her perspective after a long life of contemplation and action.
