Tony Mallard, a smooth talking, half Italian, mechanical engineer, leaves the British Army after World War II to become a salesman at a London garage selling high class sports cars. After a series of events, including a romantic entanglement, fate leads him into motor racing where his life takes a different and traumatic direction. About the Author

This is Joy Shiplee’s second novel about Africa, following the success of Litoki Dam and is no less exciting as she draws from her never ending experiences of her memorable time there in the seventies and eighties.
