About the Book

As Owen walks around New York City, on the sidewalks, or takes the Subway with his Momma, he is in awe of the many sounds all around him. From big cranes that are wrangling to garbage trucks that are mangling, there are so many things to hear. “What’s that?” says Owen throughout the book. Come and find out in Owen’s City Sounds.

About the Author

Erin Farrell Talbot has been writing for as long as she could hold a crayon. She lives in New York City with her husband Paul and two sons, Liam and Owen. Erin has kept a journal and blog dedicated to her sons about their daily lives and growing up in the City. Owen’s City Sounds is Erin’s second book inspired by her young son and his appreciation of the sounds of the City. Owen had surgery for ear tubes after he was diagnosed with 90 percent hearing loss at 18 months. When his hearing was restored, he was amazed at all the wonderful and interesting noises around him. Erin’s first book, “Liam’s Window,” was written for her other son based on a nightly ritual at bedtime.
