Marianne’s Christmas Miracle

Bernadette and Marianne were leaving a friend’s house that afternoon twilight has already settled, upon their way home in order to get to the main road they have to pass through a bridge. Before they reach the bridge a storm started to enrage, rain was falling heavily, wind was moving forcefully with roars of thunder striking violently followed by lightning flashing in the clouds. There were rush on streets, trees were swaying their branches tumultuously. Some powers have been knocked out and fewer lights around.

Bernadette tried to drive fast to get to the bridge before the storm becomes turbulent. They were almost at the foot of the bridge, when Marianne yelled.

“Mommy, don’t pass that bridge, it is going to collapse!”

“What are you talking about?” Bernadette was not listening to her until they reached the foot of the bridge, and Marianne shouted.

“Mommy don’t!”

Bernadette slammed the brakes abruptly and they saw the bridge collapsed due to heavy rain and was swept by the raging water. The dilapidated parts have been washed out. This bridge had often been the complaints of many vehicle owners who were regular commuters for years yet the city officials have not been able to fix and resolve this problem up to now.

Bernadette surprisingly nervous looked at her daughter and asked.

“How did you know that?”

“I don’t know, I just happen to see.”

“See what?” Bernadette asked while still bewildered

“Mom, I have this vision”

Bernadette did not anymore ask Marianne to elaborate her answer she already knew what her daughter was talking about. She found out her daughter Marianne can predict what will happen in the future by way of a vision if it is harmful or bad then she is compelled to make an attempt or a way to stop or prevent it from happening.
She concentrated first in getting out of the place. The rain was falling intensely, heavily, Bernadette was becoming anxious, edgy and light’s sky has faded it was dark.
