About the Author
I was born in Birmingham England at the end of the second world war. At a young age my family moved to my beloved Cornwall and I grew up in a little village called "Rose", just outside of Perranporth. Being a solitary child, the youngest of three children; I loved the country-side; my best friend was my imagination, along with all my imaginary friends who lived in the hedgerows and beside the little ford that crossed the lane at the lower end of the village. Having been bullied at school I couldn't wait to get home and tell all my animal friends about my day, I knew they would understand how I felt and listen to my tales of woe. Eventually after marrying and having my own children; I began tell them a bedtime stories about my imaginary friends. Having worked with children most of my life as a nanny and in education, these stories have been told many times. Now I feel after my grandchildren have grown up, it's time to share them with other children so that they might enjoy a gentle soothing story when not feeling well, or perhaps a calming story at the end of the day before saying "Goodnight, Sweetdreams."
