I rubbed my eyes wearily, while opening my door, and walking downstairs quietly. Once I reached the kitchen, I dug through the cupboard hungrily. I grabbed my favorite cereal, Nutty Honey Loops. The perfect combo of dry cereal and honey!
Yeah, I have no idea why it’s my favorite cereal.
I shook it making sure there was enough for me. Ari had a bad habit of pouring a big bowl of it, eat ¼ of it, and throw the rest away. She had a bad personality in every possible way!
It felt at least half way full, so that was good.
I pulled the fridge door open, and grabbed the gallon bottle of skim milk. I took the shiny yellow bowl in the lower cupboards, and mixed the cereal and milk in the bowl. For some odd reason, just the look of it didn’t make me as excited as I usually am when I am about to eat it.
Well, usually to me it just looks like dried out sugar, so I guess it wasn’t really a difference, but still, it didn’t have that usual appeal it gives me. Something just wasn’t… right. I had no idea what it was, but I had a gut feeling it wasn’t good.
I sat down at our light brown rectangle table, and shoved a big scoop of milk and Honey Loops in my mouth. It didn’t taste as good as it used too, and that confused me seeing even if I’m not in the mood to eat it, it still tastes great! I’m pale, food doesn’t taste very good, and I must be getting sick!
I went over to my family’s medicine cabinet, and grabbed a thermometer. I stuck it under my tongue, and waited for a couple minutes. It started to produce a light beeping, but it sounded very loud to me. I took the thermometer out of my mouth, and read it. It said 32 degrees Celsius!

Kay started to write when she was very young, because of her older siblings' influences on her. Ever since then, she has been writing to create the story of Kylie Satori. Writing has always came easy for her, which made her decide to finally make Kylie's story come to life.
Kylie's experiences are based on Kay's emotions through her ups and downs in life so far. In Kay's twelve years of life, she has had many different events, including losing her best friend. She made a new best friend, one who understands her even better, so it wasn't a total let down for her.
Kay happily lives in Minnesota with her family of six, and her three cats and dog. Plus, her best friend moved down the street from her a year back, so it is making a total new environment for her, and it makes her life comfortable and complete.
