Here are the questions for the first ten chapters in the Old Testament which starts with Genesis; and the first ten chapters of the New Testament which starts with the gospel of Saint Matthew. There are answers on the last page for the first chapter in each book and, the 5th, 10th, 15th.....
OLD TESTAMENT
Genesis
1. Did God create mankind in His own image?
2. What did God do on the seventh day? What choice did God give to Adam concerning things he could or could not eat? Is a man supposed to abide closer to his wife than his parents?
3. What kind of advice did Satan use to entice Eve to be disobedient to God? Did Eve justify to herself why she should eat the fruit? (After you have answered the previous questions, read the following verses concerning our thoughts and advice Proverbs 3:5-7) After Adam and Eve were put out of the Garden, did they still have an opportunity to make decisions that would lead them to live forever (eternal life)?
4. Why was Cain’s sacrifice not accepted by God? (After you have answered the question, read Hosea 6:6 & Amos 5:22-24.)

6. Why did God destroy the earth? Why was Noah spared by God?
7. How many days did it rain upon the earth?
8. What mountain did the ark land on?
9. What is the sign of the covenant that God made with and all living creatures that He would not destroy the earth with a flood again?

NEW TESTAMENT
Matthew
1. Who told Joseph to name the child Jesus? Where is the prophecy of Isaiah 7:14? What does Emanuel mean?
2. Why did the wise men come from the east? What did King Herod demand from the priest and the scribes? Which verse(s) reference the prophecy in Micah 5:2? Who told the wise men not to return unto Herod? Why did Joseph take his family into Egypt? Which verse(s) reference Hosea 11:1? Why was Herod exceedingly wroth (angry) and what did he do? What is the correlation between Revelations 12:1-5 and St. Matthew 2:2-20?
3. Which verse reference Isaiah 40:3? Did John infer that salvation was not based on being descendants of Abraham? Does this meaning apply today; that salvation is not based upon being in a particular denomination, church or nationality?
4. What was the first thing Satan tempted Jesus with after He had fasted forty days and night? Were all of Satan’s temptations related to the scripture; and did Jesus always respond by the scripture? Did Jesus answer Satan out of Deuteronomy 5:6-9? Did Jesus state any prerequisites to be a fisher of men? If we follow Jesus, does He make us fishers of men?
5. What will the merciful obtain from God? Should your good works glorify you or your Farther in Heaven? What does this light in us represent? Which verses tell us that anything that may cause us to sin and receive damnation should be removed out of our lives? Should we love our enemies and those that mistreat us?
6. If we do not forgive others will God forgive us? What do the Gentiles seek first in their lives? And what should the children of God seek first in their lives?
7. Which verse tells us not to judge others? If our Heavenly Farther knows what physical things we need to survive, then what good things should you ask for? Do any verses tell us not all people in the ministry are Godly? If the house represents our lives and the rock represents the doctrine of Jesus, then what does the floods represent?
8. Was the centurion humble before Jesus? Did the centurion have faith in Jesus? When the storm appeared, did the disciples doubt Jesus’ word about going to the other side?
9. When Jesus said the little girl was not dead but asleep, was Jesus referring to her spirit being asleep or her body? For help on the previous question, see 1 Samuel 25:1, & 1 Samuel 28:11-15A. Did the two blind men know that Jesus was of the lineage of David? What did Jesus refer to as the harvest? What did Jesus say to pray for?
10. How did the disciples get power over evil spirits and power to heal? Should we fear man or God? If we deny Jesus as our Savior, will Jesus deny us before His Farther?
