About the Book

Life is a journey of living and dying, of new birth, and of burying the dead. Living is a gift from above because we cannot add to its value even though we can subtract from it. Death on the other hand is a loss of life as we know it, and we can never take back from it. What I knew as my life is no longer there; in its stead, a new person emerged. The purpose that I thought was for my life no longer exists, and through my divorce, a cocoon has been broken, and the caterpillar became a butterfly.

About the Author

Bukiwe was born and raised in the coastal region of the Eastern Cape, in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. She grew up in a loving family of four siblings. Her life has been molded in church by her parents who served in pastoral duties. In December 2004 she moved to Johannesburg following family commitments and greener pastures. Things didn't work out according to plan as her marriage dissolved in December 2008. Her recent experience is the pain of the sudden passing of her older sister who was her mentor and friend, and then that of her beloved dad in a single year. Her strength is in her commitment and trust in God. She is a mother to eight year old son, Joshua. Her mission in life is reaching out to those in poverty of the soul.
