About the Book

Sassy’s Sock Party is a fun poetic story about a Golden retriever who mischievously takes all the socks out of an open dresser drawer. The socks end up scattered throughout the bedroom and hallway, mingled among all of Sassy’s other toys. The mess leaves Sassy’s person wondering what all happened while he was away at school. Sassy’s Sock Party is based on a true story about a Golden retriever named Sassy Mohawk who held her own sock party.

About the Author

Julie Hornung has been writing children’s books for many years. This is her first self-published book and she has many more ready to be published. Some of her upcoming titles include Apple Cart Arnold and the Vegetable Cart, I Glued My Head to the Bed, and The Little Boy Who Lived under the Tree. She enjoys writing colorful stories that are entertaining for children to hear and parents to read. She likes to create fun themes that engage a child’s imagination. She currently lives in Wisconsin with her husband Jim, their two newest Golden retrievers, Komet and Oscar, Samantha the cat, and Shadow, the African Grey parrot.
