About the Author
Aaron has worn many "hats" in his life; carnival baker, janitor, camp counselor, produce manager, park ranger and care aid to name a few. Creative writing has long been Aaron's dream and life has fortuitously presented him with an opportunity to delve deeper into this ancient art of story telling. The Tale of Henrietta Hippo is Aaron's fisrt published work and draws on his own early life experiences as an awkward and lonely child who found a treasured friend and confidant in a hand-made bear his mom made. This story honors the universal need for a friend. Born in upstate New York and migrating north with his family as a child. Aaron was part of a caravan that included four horses. Aaron currently lives with his family, one dog, two cats, five goats, thirty two chickens and his niece Luna's pink hippo named Henrietta on an organic farm by the Nicola River in beautiful British Columbia. These are the happiest years of his life as he enjoys the beauty of nature's simple pleasures.
