After the story was over, Popsie got the coffee cans and all the other stuff and said, "We are going to have a parade. We are going to play these instruments and shout for joy to the Lord." The kids just looked at each other. Finally Kait whispered, “Those don’t look like instruments to me. They just look like an empty box, some old coffee cans and a cake pan.” Grammy just grinned and told Popsie to pass out the drums. Before he gave Alex the empty box and the wooden spoon he held the box upside down and hit it with the spoon. The kids now understood what was happening.

About the Book
This story is the result of actual adventures shared with my grandchildren. These adventures allow me the opportunity to share Bible stories of God's love with them. In this story we act out the march around Jericho as we march around the church across the street. But little did we know our parade would create a problem for Pastor Stone. There are always opportunities to share life's lessons and the joy found in God's grace, if we look for them. There is nothing on earth that moves my heart more than hearing them draw closer to our creator. My hope is that this little story will open the door for your children or grandchildren to explore God's word and experience His mercy, grace and love.
About the Author
Rick Arnecke was born and raised in Texas. He and his wife LaDonna live in Lorena TX. They are the parents of two sons and two daughters and three very special grandchildren. Rick has served as an elder at their church, Stonegate Community Church and together with LaDonna they served the youth group for several years. Rick is now retired after spending 36 years with United Parcel Service.
