About the Book

Always Friends is a coloring book that invites young readers to consider the importance of friendships and how hurt feelings can sometimes end them. In the story, Samara realizes that she hasn’t seen her friend Leo for some time and surmises that something must be wrong. She sets out on a journey through the forest with her dog Rex to find her friend and talk to him. Determined to find out what is wrong with her friend, Samara shows how to care for the well-being of others by taking action to solve problems and why it’s valuable to nurture friendships in spite of differences.

About the Author

Dr. Teresa M. Tipton is an art teacher, artist, and curriculum designer who has worked internationally with children of all ages and nationalities, creating cultural programs, writing, and teaching art. She is passionate about the importance of the arts in education and in the life of communities today. Indigenous communities taught her the importance of taking good care of the earth and each other for the next seven generations to come. She hopes her work will inspire others to actively contribute to their communities and to be a positive guide in the lives of children of all backgrounds and abilities.
