About the Author

The author, Randi Portnoy, is a retired New York City special educator. She holds a BS in Communication/Education, MSED in Special Education, and a degree in Educational Administration. Ms. Portnoy has vast experience as a provider of Early Intervention services. Her love of animals, especially dogs, led her to volunteer at animal shelters and sanctuaries. Harlee, her black Labrador mix, was the inspiration for this book.
