“I am Kuku, elder of the Albion Falls tribe of the Cascati,” Kuku began. “Normally, I stand only three inches tall, but I have magically transformed myself to your giant size so that I may once again return to Great Kaska Niagara before my time on this earth has passed. You can imagine how long the journey would take if I were only three inches tall.” Kuku held out his hand in greeting. “What’s up, Kuku” laughed Sally, as her warm hand touched Kuku’s cool, clammy one. “I’m Sally Torelli, Team Captain of St. Helen’s Cross Country Team. These are my associates, Joey and Mr. Z.” “Encantado,” chirped Joey, nervously. “Nice to meet you,” stammered Ziggy. He turned and looked out at one of the rocks in front of the falls. He looked at Sally, Joey, and Kuku. He looked across the rocks to his waterlogged backpack that floated in the creek. Either he was dreaming, or….”uh, Kuku,” he began, “I hate to burst your bubble, but I don’t think any of us are giant size anymore….”

About the Book

Katia Amaya is an avid trailrunner and fantasy adventure junkie in her hometown of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. When she's not geocacheing or hiking trails with her husband and two children, Katia works as a nurse. This book was inspired by and is dedicated to the colourful cast of characters who populate Katia's everyday life.
