Spring:
One Sunday afternoon Edward was sitting watching Jane playing with his girls and noticed that they were running and skipping together as if they had known each other all their live. “Hello everyone” they all recognised the unmistakeable voice of Holly Ross Edward’s sister “Aunty Holly!! Come and play” the girls coursed “In a minute, let me talk with daddy first” The girls ran back to Jane and almost knock her over. “Careful you two don’t knock Jane over” and turning to Jane says “Jane are you alright?””Yes Edward I am fine thank you for asking” Their eyes meet and Jane feels as if they are the only two around. She quickly turns her attention back to Ruby and Jade, but not quite quick enough Holly had seen the look on Jane’s face and looking at her brother saw the same look. She smiled to herself and started chatting with her brother.
Summer:
Donna dreamt she was in the water swimming with the dolphins. This was very strange because Donna could not swim very much in a swimming pool, but the sea not in a million years! So imagine her surprise to find herself diving, dancing and playing with the creatures till her skin became wrinkled like prunes, creatures, not even going up through the water for air. Suddenly the atmosphere dissolved into chaos, the dolphins became agitated and began chattering, and the sound their high pitched voices sent shivers down Danna’s spine. Their eyes looked straight past her into the far distance then, with a high pitched scream they fled in terror!! Donna looked to see what had frightened them and made them flee,
Autumn:
Halloween! with all the dressing up, seeing who can have the most shockingly designed out-fit, be it witches, warlocks, ghosts, zombies, skeletons or any other revolting ‘un dead’ monster you can think of. Then there are all pumpkin head lanterns with all the spooky designs. The party games and food, ducking for apples (do they still do that?)and jelly with plastic spiders (or worse) in the bottom, strawberry jam oozing out of funny coloured cake, and then ” trick or treat” the shout goes out!!!
Winter:
Pat and Trevor Murray and their daughter Hazel were moving out of their small flat into a large house with a big garden in the back. Pat was due to have her second child around Christmas hence the move. Pat and Trevor took Hazel to see the new house so that she could pick witch bedroom she wanted. “Mummy there is a swing in the garden!” ”Yes,and a slide as well”... One day Hazel ran in crying “Mummy, mummy will Santa know that we have moved?” Pat looks down at her tearful daughter and smiles “I think so darling. But just to make sure shall we send him a letter?” Hazel’s eyes light up “Yes please mummy. Do you know where Santa lives?” “Oh yes, I found his address in one of my magazines” “Oh good!” With that they make their way into the dining room pen and paper in hand, sitting down at the table Pat asks ”What shall we write Hazel?” Hazel thinks for a while then begins, “Dear Santa and Rudolf, My name is Hazel Murray. I have moved to a new house with my mummy and daddy because my mummy is having a new baby. Please do not forget my new address. Love and kisses from Hazel.”
