About the Book

This book is non-Fiction. It relates to children 3 year old and up. It is about Carisse's personal experiences when she visits her grandmas' houses. Most children love visiting their grandparents whether they live a block away, within driving distance or flying distance.  I think Carisse's story will open up a dialogue for children to talk about their own experiences with grandma and also talk about their favorite foods and games. There will be a follow up for suggested activities.

About the Author

Lucille Tannis is a retired elementary school teacher. She has three children and four grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially the love and joy she experiences when she’s with her grandchildren. She loves writing, singing, and gardening. This is her first children’s book and she hopes that other children will be able to relate to Carisse’s story. Lucille lives in New York City with her husband, Lennox. Sherren’s Bio: (Co-Author) Sherren McKenzie is the group sales coordinator for the Penn State Center for the Performing Arts. Sherren has performed professionally as a creative expressionist and storyteller for many years. She has three children and three grandchildren. Carisse is her first grandchild and she loved to take her on car rides around rural Central PA to bring to life the farms and animals from her storybooks and songs. Sherren loves cooking, writing, singing, talking with people, and spending time with her family. Sherren lives in State College, PA with her husband, Harold.
