Huge thing picked me up and I was up high. She was licking just like my mother did; only it wasn’t a wet lick. It was more of a dry lick. Then she put me down and headed for my mother. Mother told me this was called being petted. She petted my mother and she liked it. Mother raised her tail, which was a sign of happiness. She told me to “be nice.” As long as you be nice to them, they will be nice to you. The huge things were actually people known as owners. When they choose a pet, then they are that pet’s owner. So I was going to be nice from here on out. Being nice was a good quality and I wanted to have good qualities. Every good quality there was, I wanted them.

About the Book
"The Adventures of Joshua" was written to tell readers a simple story about a cat (from the cat's point of view). The cat (Joshua) tellls a story of what life was like for him as a tiny kitten, just a day old, and follows his many journeys of learning about life with cats to life with people.
About the Author
J. S. Aaron is a first time author who also teaches at an elementary school. She is a huge animal lover, especially a cat lover. She always had cats as pets while growing up. J.S. Aaron actually wrote this book at the age of 12 when she got the new kitten as a pet. She is currently working on a Master's degree in Elementary Education and loves to work with children. She wrote this book with children in mind, with the idea that other children who love animals just like her would enjoy this book.
