Follow the author’s journey through life from a Central African childhood in the mid 1950’s to boarding at a High School in Apartheid South Africa in the early 1960’s. From joining the British Police in 1969 and various adventures in Uniform before progressing through to the CID by 1978 and international criminal investigations into Frauds against Airlines during the 1980’s. Then explore the world of international criminal investigations with Interpol from 1991 through to the formation of the National Criminal Intelligence Service (NCIS) until its demise in 2006. Be introduced to the world of the Serious & Organized Crime Agency (SOCA) and the many trials and tribulations which followed. Finally retirement in 2011 followed by the revelations of a personal unforeseen bombshell that has changed the dynamics of the author’s life. This autobiography provides a clear “ warts and all “ account of the author’s professional and private life, so fasten your seatbelts and enjoy the trip.


About the Author

Born in England he moved to Northern Rhodesia in Colonial Central Africa in 1955 where he enjoyed many adventures in his new environment. In 1961 he was sent on a four day train journey to a private boarding school in apartheid South Africa. In 1966 he attended college in England after which he joined the Sussex Police in 1969, initially on Uniform Patrol. In 1978 he progressed to the Criminal Investigations Department and in 1991 he was awarded a national post at New Scotland Yard in London investigating international crimes with Interpol. He later joined the National Criminal Intelligence Service continuing his international criminal investigations. He then became a member of the Serious and Organized Crime Agency again investigating international criminal activity. He retired in 2011 and lives with his wife in Sussex. He has two sons, one Grand-daughter and one Grandson who live nearby.
