All our lives had changed within a few moments of time. That is how life is sometimes. All is well, and suddenly, a storm cloud blows in. The gale force winds begin to blow. The rain begins to pour, lightning flashes, waves come into the boat, and you think you may sink. The disciples of Jesus thought that very thing once while they were on the Sea of Galilee. In Mark 4:37-41, we are told that the disciples and Jesus were in a boat when a fierce gale arose and waves came over the boats edge filling it up. They were afraid, but Jesus was asleep in the stern of the boat. They woke Him up and asked Him did He not care that they were going to perish. Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and rain by saying, “Peace be still.” The wind and rain immediately ceased. The disciples were amazed that HE WAS ABLE to stop the wind and rain. Jesus asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?” (NASB, paraphrased) For me, those were questions that could have been facing me. Was I afraid? Did I have enough faith? .
