About the Author
The author was born in Berlin, Germany. After completing business school at eighteen she was one of many German girls heading for England to work as mother's helper and then to France to become an au-pair in a well to do Parisian family. As she became fluent in French, she enrolled at the Sorbonne. Eighteen months passed and homesickness lured her back home. At twenty-two she was ready for new adventures, this time for New York. Marriage, the birth of her children and a divorce followed. A writer's workshop inspired her to write a book and then enroll in college, eventually getting her Master's degree, leading to a teaching career.
