About the Author
David Dryden calls ’imsel’ a Geordie because Newcastle upon Tyne is where he was brought up and where his heart will always be. His fascinating life has developed through a range of careers and disciplines, from air traffic controller assistant in the Royal Air Force to graduating with a degree in product design. As a furniture maker, his skills led to teaching design and technology, and now he is teaching English as a foreign language. An essay he wrote during his school days, which had germinated in his mind for fifty years, inspired the idea for this book.
