The destruction and redistricting in process of reincarnate. In addition, the sculptures have their lives. In the cemetery they have childhood, school life, adolescence, first splitting up and old age, where in the fighting with the time, they are lost and dropped off… The cemetery is concentration of destruction. Before, we talked about the destruction as a final process. But this pessimistic theory has also a positive chapter. The destruction is also starting a process of reincarnation. Not only the classical process of reincarnation which we know from the Bible – the reincarnation of Jesus. Is it not possible to reincarnate sculptures as well? Yes, it is possible - the destruction only drops off the power, the material from which sculpture was made - changed them from material to dust and from this dust grows up new start. One proverb says: “You are the dust and to the dust you have been changed again“. This proverb is not to be applied only to human, but it is also applicable to the sculpture. The destruction starts slowly, first time only one berry is dropped and nobody sees anything happening, then the second berry is dropped and the third berry, still no one notices… but after one million of berries, there should be some registration, which has been missing. One million of berries make the resolution not to be a sculpture anymore and the sculpture slowly disappears. The sculpture is dependent on the millions of berries, but the millions of berries are independent from the sculpture. The sculpture without million of berries is non-existent, but the berries continue and in the future there will be some material for new sculptures thus, old sculpture has been reincarnated. The new sculpture should be made of lots of old sculptures, similar to the human body which is made of lots of genes from their ancestors.

About the Book
It is book about the process of destruction. The cemetery is a place where it is possible to watch the process of destruction like a movie through the peephole of a nickelodeon. In the cemetery, the process of destruction comes into being and when we take a photo here—for example, of memorials or flowers—we flick through these photos, starting from fresh flowers and finishing with dead stalks inside the vase. Browsing, through these pictures quickly, suddenly we see a movie, a movie of destruction. The cemetery is a place where the process of destruction is absolute; here is the destruction of everything, not only the human body, but of absolutely everything that is in the cemetery at that time. Here everything is—passed away. What is destruction? Everything old has been destroyed so something new can start. Destruction is a condition for a beginning to start, and the first without the second is not possible. Can two processes change everything around, starting the basic cycle of emotional reaction—sadness and happiness? Nobody is indifferent to the process of destruction. The process starts a lot of emotional reactions such as crying and anger and belief, because we don’t want to reconcile ourselves to it, but also we don’t have a lot of power to fight it.
About the Author
Jana Dohnalova was born on April 7, 1975, in a small village in Czechoslovakia and grew up separate from modern technology, current information, and even other people as she lived with only her family. At that time, she started creating her first stories. When she was twenty, she made a decision to become a writer and started to study creative writing at university. That was a big deal for her. First, she abandoned the village where she had been born and started a new life in the capital, Prague. Second, her family did not want to accept her decision to become a writer. When she finished university, it was so difficult to find a job as a writer that she changed workplaces many times. She was a shop assistant, waitress, worker for an archaeology company. When she went in 2008 to London, she studied English. In the meanwhile, she published four books in Czech. This is the first book she has written in English.
