Because God Smiled, I am Laughing!

I was given a prophecy by evangelist Lizzy that I would travel through the airports of the world to evangelize for the glory of the Almighty God. Years later, I received confirmation of the same prophecy given by Lizzy, as it was spoken to me, “You are called as a pastor’s pastor.” In his words, “apostle I see you traveling across the globe teaching pastors how to become good shepherds of God.” In 2004, again evangelist Lizzy looked at me after one of our prayers and said these words, “oga sir!” (As they would say in Nigeria as sign of respect) she said, “You really do not know who you are in the Lord, but you know that you are called, but I am telling you that God has called you as an apostle.” And so the weight of who I was to become began to set in at that moment, yet I was trembling at the weight of this calling. Saints of God there must be the bearing of witness and personal encounter with God, for the one called. I know that some will debate that going to the seminary before discovering one’s calling, is the order of things, and there is nothing wrong with it. My argument here is that it is not where you are going that dictates or necessarily precedes the calling. We in this time must not resolve to mediocrity but we must look back to the ways God has worked and allow God to lead us. The church will be better served if those in the gathering and in the seminaries will be awoken to this consciousness of truth, that the bearing of witness is important and is the answer to effectual church leadership. Be blessed and understand that His assignment must be witnessed.
