In a vast green world lived Ladybug and Dragonfly, among their own and other creatures who lived within the green, brightly adorned with reds, oranges, yellows, many shades of greens, blues and violets. A bow of colors upon the sky they reflected. Ladybug moved gracefully amongst the leaves, and red speckled white was a natural sight in the world of green. Dragonfly moved dancingly from leaf to leaf always on a move, and luminescent wings was also a natural sight to see in the green world. They both lived about their lives.

About the Book
Ladybug and Dragonfly is a vignette of a moment in nature inspired by children’s endearing and innocent idea of friendship, written in a poetic prose filled with figurative language set upon nature’s colorful stage. Children of all ages will be enchanted by the graceful Ladybug and the dancing Dragonfly, and enjoy in turn the beauty of words.
About the Author
Carolyna Martínez is a World Language: Spanish language teacher in Hoboken, New Jersey. She has been teaching, and learning, from children from grades K through 8th for the past 12 years and has been fascinated with their interests and creativity. Hence, the children’s inquisitiveness has inspired stories based on friendship written in a poetic prose filled with figurative language with a Spanish flair. Carolyna was born in New York City in 1964, and completed her early education between New York and Puerto Rico. She graduated from Saint Peter’s Jesuit College in New Jersey with a degree in Early Education and Spanish Language and Literature. She is currently a member of Writing Tips ~ The Write Way Weekly Newsletter and SCWBI ~ Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She presently lives and works in New Jersey.
