Chapter One
The Evil & Ambrosia
Once upon a time and many centuries ago, there were two unblemished souls whose lives together would become the definition of true love for all time.
This was a time when the Earth was young and full of hope for things to come. Mother Nature was in full bloom as she experimented with the brightest colors, the softest textures and the richest flavors that her vivid imagination could conjure. She decorated the endless sky with royal blues, melting fuchsias and sunflower yellows. Anyone who looked towards the Heavens would see the rainbow swirls during the day, then dimming colors meshing together by the gloss of a gray moon at night. The sun was proud to be in the first stages of its prime while the stars were so bright they danced.
The land was endless with candy red fields of wheat and soft green meadows that were so comfortable they massaged the bare feet of the children that ran through them. Rose-filled prairies overtook the hills and the gray, white-capped mountains crowned the horizon with peaks of majestic strength in the distance.
The rivers were blue, but not just any blue. They were blue like iced diamonds and their surfaces flickered from the sun like vast sparks of gold. The waters were as sweet as lemonade and could rejuvenate so much that if a weary steed took one drink he could swiftly retake the traveling road for forty miles without need of rest.
The air was perfume to inhale. The heated breeze was a sweet relaxation to the pores. And every time the wind blew, you could only close your eyes and let its soft kisses dazzle your senses.
Yes, the entire world was newly born and beautiful. The atmosphere was one of unlimited possibilities and infinite good.
But…
…where there is ultimate prominence…
…one may also find…
…danger lurking.
In the heart of this perfect world, there was the Enchanted Forest, and a quaint and pleasant little village that the townspeople named Ambrosia. Life was simple in Ambrosia. The people there were of the most neighborly sorts.
Everyone lived in humble wooden cottages with gardens in their front yards that could fill a coloring book with their splendor. The penny-brown cobblestone streets were Heavenly clean, not a single piece of debris to be found. Beautiful horses with curly, long, shimmering manes and tails trotted through the streets in golden coats of brown and rich black. They assisted the villagers in carrying out the many tasks of the day.
The people of Ambrosia were a hardworking people who stayed busy conducting their daily chores. They were kind and generous, always greeting one another with gentle words. Even though they filled their days with honest work, they were never too busy to lend a hand to anyone in need. The Ambrosians took to heart the welfare and safety of their fellow townspeople. There was never an empty belly or a tear-filled eye in the entire village.
Well, at least that is how it was…
…until…
…the evil came.
