Now we can’t help what we see or hear sometimes but we are warned by the Lord to watch out. Why? Haven’t you noticed that the laws of God and godly morals are disappearing from the world, well at least from here in the UK? Do you think that it’s by coincidence that you can brutally harm someone and be free from prison in five years? Or that mentally unstable people are in halfway houses in the community? Isn’t it handy that there is no shortage of guns and knives on the streets even though these are illegal weapons? Isn’t it amazing that there is no shortage of drugs on the streets even though it’s prohibited? How is it that the cost of living continues to rise even though the economy on the whole is “unstable”? The world is living everyday on the brink of a worldwide recession and the threat of war and terrorism, underlines the meetings of our leaders, influencing their decision making that ought to be for the benefit of their people. The world will cry out for a saviour when it all gets out of control, but it won’t be our saviour that they accept. John 5:4… I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. This is by design. What’s going on behind the scenes? The God of this age is coming to rule this world. I will go more into this in the very near future. (In this case, later chapters.) Why am I telling you all of this? The appetite for the world cannot and will not be satisfied by me warning you not be tempted by the world. You will lose your appetite if you know the truth. If after hearing the truth you discover that you still want a taste of the world – then you were never in Christ. Is the light of the church growing dim whilst the world becomes progressively worldlier? If there could ever be such a thing it would be down to, clever marketing, advertising and media strategies that have been collectively sucking approvals out of us without permission, sin unchecked and not challenged from pulpits and the love of many growing cold as a result.
