Perched on a barrel at the counter in Pops hardware store, the boys were not chattering as usual. "Is something wrong boys?" Pops asked. "You're awfully quiet today." "We might be wondering about something papa," Bice told him. "Yes papa, we might be," added Trice. "Well now, I might be wondering what it is you might be wondering about," Pops said, hoping to get a smile from them. When neither boy smiled or said anything more, Pops asked, "Would you like to tell me? Perhaps I can help." "Yes papa, we would," said Trice. "Why do we have two names papa?" asked Bice. Pops decided a little teasing was needed here for he did not like to see such concern on the faces of his adored sons. "You see boys," began Pops, "since the two of you look just alike, I wanted to name you Bice and Bice or Trice and Trice. Your mother insisted that you each should have a name all you own. That's why you have two names." This brought not only the smile their papa wanted, but also big chuckles. "No papa," giggled Trice. "That's not what we mean, papa" Bice laughed. Trice explained, "Our friends have only one name. Raymie is only Raymie. Robbie is only Robbie and Georgie is only Georgie. One name. "But I am Trice Ickle." "Yes papa, and I am Bice Ickle and baby sister is Ice Ickle. See papa? Two names. Why papa?"

About the Book
Far below the beautiful, snow covered mountains, beyond the dense forest, snuggled in the quiet, serene valley, lies tiny Ickle Village. The home to all snow people! Each year, new snow people come to settle in, build their homes and live the wonderful life given to them by the Power of the Mountains. This little story evolved from my hobby of making, painting, decorating and selling miniature wooden snow people. While working on them, I imagine them doing different things, having different expressions and try to create them in that fashion. Many, many hours have been spent in this wonderful fantasy world of snow people.
About the Author
With more than 30 nieces and nephews, she is quite accustomed to making up stories children love and characters they adore. Although a first time author, she will capture the imagination, tickle the funny-bone and instill a sense of love and caring with this fun-filled fantasy.
