What do you do When you've lost your shoe And it's time to go to school? You can't go without Since there isn't a doubt You would be breaking a rule! You could borrow from Mom And walk very calm But her heels would go clickety clack! She would hear you walk out And there isn't a doubt She would make you put them right back! You could borrow from Dad Would that be so bad? They would hurt by the end of the day You would want to pout And there isn't a doubt You would want to put them away So what do you do When you've lost your shoe And the bus comes rolling along? Remember tomorrow So you don't have to borrow To keep them where they belong!
