Miles Away is about a lonely alien on Saturn who has always had dreams of starting his own farm. Miles the alien decides to capture the weirdest, oddest animals he can find... the kind of animals that are so strange, no one will miss... or so he thinks. Will Miles finally get the farm he has always dreamed of or will people miss the strange animals and beg for them back?
About the Author
Shannon Chalfant is making her debut as a children’s book author with Miles Away. In 2011 Shannon moved to South Korea to teach kindergarten kids English. Instead of teaching them from children’s books that already existed, she decided, that with the kid’s help, they would write and illustrate a book of their own. Shannon is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University. She currently works as a freelance writer in the Chicagoland area.
