The series will be titled “AVA, AMERICAN DREAMER” and the subtitle for the first book is “George Washington”. All books will center on a little girl named Ava and her dreams. Her dreams will put her center stage in different points in American History. The goal of my book is to explore important events in American history while at the same time re-enforce American values and focus on the concept of Patriotism. Throughout her adventures, Ava will meet many important men and women in American History and develop a friendship with them. She will begin to understand, through their trials and tribulations, just how thankful she is to live in a nation where all men, women and children have freedoms. Ava will learn to appreciate the virtues of grace, courage and bravery; which each of the characters she meets posses.

About the Author
About the Author: I am a local author who has a great appreciation for American History and a great respect for all those who have defended our nation, and continue to defend our nation, to protect our freedoms. The inspiration to write “Ava, American Dreamer” came from my 3 year old niece, Ava. It’s my greatest concern that American History will not be preserved in our towns and schools. It writing this first book of my series, I am hoping to help small children explore important events in American History while at the same time re-enforce American values and focus on the concept of Patriotism I really had a great experience writing this book. I have a love of history and hope to share that with children so they too can appreciate and understand what it means to be an American. About the Illustrator: "Ava, American Dreamer" was brought to life through the captivating illustrations of Lynn Botta. Lynn is a talented artist whose art work has been displayed locally and whose talent as a free-lance illustrator is largely recognized within the community.
