Follow one woman's journey from her rural home through Thai politics and back to reconciliation and home. Jit heads off to University in Bangkok while Daeng stays at home with their aging mother. Tragedy strikes… Jit is killed because of his political activism. About the Author
John Hamilton was first introduced to the people, history, and geography of Thailand when he served in the Peace Corps. Mr. Hamilton enjoyed Thailand so much he stayed there even after his term of service. He fell in love with the country and with a woman who became his wife. He wrote the novel, Isan, to commerate his experiences and pass them on to his son and anyone interested in this story.
