When we reflect on our character often, we become better people for ourselves and for our fellow creatures on Earth. When we remember to give to others, forgive others when they apologize, and give thanks to those who aid us, we better ourselves for everyone's benefit.

About the Author

Having earned his Bachelor’s in English from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, storytelling has been a profound aspect of Alton James’s, Ph.D. life. Concurrently, he minored in African-American Studies and Music. Educating richly melanated peoples of the diaspora through storytelling and music is his purpose in life—so much so, that James went on to teach English, African-American History, and Music at both the 6-12 and Higher Education levels. He went on to earn his Master’s (University of Michigan - Ann Arbor), Ed.S, and Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (Wayne State University). Currently, James continues his work as a film music composer and audio specialist in the world of film.
