About the Book
" Laced with gentle satire and personal confession, this is a collection of verses offering glimpses into six decades of living in two cultures, those of northern England and southern California. Verse forms vary from imitative rhymed sonnet and tetrameter to contemporary flowing freeform. Each poem is introduced with a brief note linking it directly to the authors unique experience."
About the Author
The former Rita Green grew up in Cheshire, England becoming ladies’ county sprint champion 1950-52 She immigrated to southern California in 1964 with her husband and three children where she graduated magna cum laude in Comparative Literature from the University of California Irvine and received a Master’s degree in Library Science from California State University Fullerton where her poetry was published and won awards. She now leads a shy retiring life in Newport Beach.
